5 days of knowledge sharing and meetings around urban water management

Conferences, workshops, posters sessions, technical tours: Novatech offers you an interactive program over 5 days, from June 29 to July 3, 2026, to explore the technical, urban, environmental and social challenges of sustainable water management.

In 2026, nearly 250 speakers will come to share feedback from their experiences and research findings to help bring out innovative solutions. Among the presentations: 62% are results from scientific studies, 20% are mixed presentations, and 18% are experience-based feedback.

A varied program, a vibrant pace, and cutting-edge content: everything is designed to allow you to create your own personal program, tailored to your specific needs.

The Heart of Novatech

Accompanied by experts, discover real-world developments, discuss feedback, and leave with tangible ideas to explore in your own projects.

Networking Moments

Welcome cocktail, gala evening, lunch breaks: several opportunities are organized for socializing, so you can get to know each other better and exchange ideas in a friendly setting

Magner and Le Cousu, our two Lyon-based caterers specially selected for the event, will bring their experience and expertise to delight your taste buds. Both committed to an eco-responsible and zero-waste approach, they work with local producers and offer menus tailored to each season. For Novatech, they will offer menus featuring 50% vegetarian options.

Throughout the conference, the Magner teams will provide refreshments and seasonal creations during daily breaks and lunches. “Working with seasonal, ultra-fresh ingredients sourced as much as possible from sustainable agriculture is just as good for the palate as it is for the planet!”

During the gala evening, caterer Le Cousu will surprise you with recipes inspired by our culinary heritage, their travels, and of course the seasonality of ingredients. “Our Chef and brigade love nothing more than enhancing every ingredient and bringing out its full character. They never travel without their spices, local and exotic salts, reworked oils, peppers of every color, powders, and fresh seasonal herbs.”

Communicating Differently About Stormwater with the “Where Does the Rain Go?” Podcast

At the Co’eau Pluviale partnership booth, immerse yourself in “Where Does the Rain Go?”, a series of audio episodes highlighting practical initiatives that promote the infiltration and beneficial use of stormwater in urban environments.

Take a few minutes to:

  • Listen to the episodes to better understand how to reduce the impacts of rainfall on our living environments
  • Meet Guy Trudel (City of Montreal) on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:00 p.m. for a presentation on the Brébeuf Street project and the Franco-Quebec Rain Tree Guide
  • Discover videos produced by the technical teams of the Lyon Metropolitan Authority, showcasing their projects and expertise

By giving a voice to experts and sharing inspiring success stories, the “Where Does the Rain Go?” podcast aims to encourage change and contribute to the creation of the cities of tomorrow—more sustainable and more permeable. The podcast is part of the Co’eau Pluviale partnership, dedicated to sharing best practices among the Lyon Metropolitan Authority, the City of Montreal, the City of Quebec, Ateliers Ublo, and Graie, with implementation led by Ateliers Ublo.
