Green mobility and water mirrors: Lyon by bike

Bike tour organized by the Lyon Urban Planning Agency (UrbaLyon)
Duration: 3 hours - Tour departure: 9:00 AM / Return: 12:00 PM
Meeting point: agence "Location Lyon vélo", 3 rue des trois pierres (69007 Lyon)

DESCRIPTION

Through a relaxed bike tour, the Lyon Urban Planning Agency invites you to explore the city via its rivers and the urban developments that highlight water.

As river metropolis, Lyon was built thanks to and around the Rhône and the Saône. The Confluence area, in particular, offers a unique site that presents numerous challenges for urban projects. After a period when cars dominated the riverbanks, the reclaiming of the rivers reconnects people directly with water and promotes conviviality.

Today, the riverbanks are establishing themselves as an important urban, social, and natural space. Urban first and foremost, as they constitute a major axis for active and carbon-free mobility. Social, because they enable significant renewal by offering places for conviviality and encounters. Finally, ecological, with a high density of vegetation to create an urban green-blue network. Water now contributes to the quality of life of residents, serving multiple uses. You will discover this richness through seven emblematic sites along the way.

Players must work must work with a limited budget, respond to unforeseen events, and jointly develop an intervention strategy in a spirit of territorial solidarity.

Sim-MANA
